Here is another 101-word story for the competition (see yesterday).
Gnomes

“I’d like to return these gnomes.”
“What’s wrong with them?”
“They give me the creeps”
“But, they’re marked clearance. All sales are final.”
“Look, I don’t want the money. Can’t you just take them away?”
“Well, no. We wanted to CLEAR them, to make room for new, more modern garden ornaments.”
“But what am I supposed to do with them? They’re spooking the cat who’s already incontinent and they remind me of a childhood trauma.”
“‘Nuff said. I was done wrong to once by the pixies. Take this free shovel and do what you have to.”
“God bless you!”

You are totally right there, Missy Z. Garden Gnomes are evil and wrong and should be got rid of on a global scale. Shame on you, Mr Garden Gnome Inventor (and Mr Other Mythical Little People Garden Ornaments Inventor should be a little red-faced too).

I agree. Now if only we can track him down and find some daft Dane to draw a cartoon of him…
