Hey, Wes! I've just found your comment. I usually only check the latest two posts or so for new comments and nearly missed this one. I was tootling around in my site's admin area and I saw that you'd added a comment, and I'm glad i did.

These are some beautiful images. I especially like the words "intensity" and "glare" because they do a great job of describing a bipolar bear's high and the sense of otherworldliness but still manage to convey the fear and anxiety that often accompanies an upswing.

Thanks for that.

I'm really looking forward to the wedding. Although we've communicated through the internet I don't think we've ever met, despite your being Danny's dad. It's going to be lovely to meet you, finally.

Did you find a soot the other day, then?

Thinking about the cloud ceiling you mentioned, Sami, I came across this poem a couple of weeks ago. I thought it might bring a different dimension (from a survivor) to recent exchanges on this and other recent postings

"I COULD WRITE YOU A MOLLION LETTERS

I could write you a million letters

I could write you a million letters
I could speak a million words
		 But they?d fall down
Like raindrops from the sky
to collect in a stream running into a river
	 or a sewer
or splash in someone?s face, wetting their glasses
or collect in a puddle only to be stepped in by some
						 unsuspecting idiot

		  My millions of letters
	 and My millions of words
			    will collect eventually

to create a rainbow so high and beautiful

It will amaze you with its intensity
It will dazzle you with its glare
It will blind you with its brightness
	It will bathe you forever

			 In blessed warmth"

					  Angel Hart

Typed as published in the book I've taken it from.

Best wishes

Trivial, m'dear.
But....Look, that was hard for me to follow. What's going on, there? Are you in a league or a troop or a band?

We had several such preachers Mr. Nanas. Where I come from though, religion and alcohol aren't mutually exclusive. From noon-time on, whisky is as likely to be offered to a visiting minister as a cup of tea. Some people are abstemious but most are not so much.

It's a cold, windy place. It rains a lot. Often, if we raise our eyebrows we are likely to break them through the cloud ceiling. The church pews are hard and the pubs are warm and golden. We learn to love alcohol early and often.

It's odd you mentioned the Day of Judgement though. My information is that not only is it At Hand, but it's Afoot too.

I am experiencing a kind of mini day of judgement myself, Mr. Vegas, you're right. Not too bad really. My body is not so much judging me today as giving me a bit of a ticking off. This week's Trivia night wrought a mere 2 Crunchie hangover.

Honey-child-bride, I don't believe you ever go to sleep. You've been commenting all over the place at the wee hours in your part of the world. As a gorilla, it disgusts me when good fruit juice is contaminated with alcohol. Didn't you have a preacher back in the old country who used to declaim: "Repent ye sinners, repent, the Day of Judgement is at Hand" or words to that effect?
